Wagner, Centric, Raybestos, Akebono are all very reliable brands. However, each one makes an economy, OEM and premium version. So don't go by brand name alone. Wagner OEX pads are premium quality. They're built on galvanized steel backing plates with mechanical attachment versus adhesive to keep the friction material on.
Owner reviews for brake pads
Usually for pads though I go with Bosch ceramic for my cars and Bosch semi metallic for my trucks. I have never had an issues and get great life from my pads.
I run EBC Red Stuffs for the street and i drive in the canyons "spiritedly" and love em.
Always had good luck in the past with Hawk HPS pads.
I’m very happy with EBC pads (red stuff)and EBC slotted rotors
I have the Centric Posi-Quiet on our Atlas - the most dust-free pad I've ever used but of course that comes at the price of not being able to handle heat.
I'd do a stock replacement rotor (Zimm) and a pad with a bit more heat tolerance (not a track pad by any means) to deal with the trailer. Reds are fine street pads but will cave to heat somewhat easily.
I do like EBC Redstuff, no issues with initial bite in the winter time.
I have had power stops before on my firebird formula and they were great, it seems for the imports they are not as good.
I run the Sebro slotted rotors with Ferodo DS3.12s on track, which are louder than a school bus on the street, so I swap back to OEM pads and rotors after each event.
