Ferodo Brake pads

I ran with Ferodo DS2500s. They work incredibly well for light track use (my street tires overheat before the brakes ever fade), they are dead silent, and, somehow, very low dust. They are more expensive than most other pads though and probably excessive for most people in their capabilities.

Pros: excellent for track, dead silent, very low dust
Cons: more expensive, excessive capabilities

ATE Brake pads

I have Bendix/Zimmerman rotors and stock ATE/Brembo SM pads and pound the living s**t out of the brakes on Track Days and HPDE ( instructor ). Other than a bit of fade after about 6 laps of HARD braking I've had zero issues. Pad life and condition is still excellent.

Pros: pad life excellent
Cons: bit of fade

STOPTECH Brake pads

Hey, I just did this. I'm not sure what your budget is, but these prices are pretty reasonable. You'll be paying less than you did for just the fronts, for all rotors and pads. brakeperformance dot com for rotors - blanks, slotted, cross drilled, dimple drilled, cross drilled and slotted, and dimple drilled and slotted. I snagged all 4 for about $200 -- Free shipping! Realistically, drilled rotors are a thing of the past, in terms of necessary...although, they do look fun! ha carpartkings dot com for pads - StopTech pads. I got front and back for $117, total. -- Free shipping! I have a GLI and I believe the part numbers differ from mine to yours, but they're close in price. If anything, yours may be cheaper. Pads arrived in 2 days. Rotors took around a week. Are you planning to do the work yourself, or are you just looking to buy parts and then pay someone for labor? If you're looking to do the work yourself, let me know. You'll need a few other (cheap) items - caliper grease, anti-squeal paste (some folks don't use it), m14 triple square bit, t30 torx bit, and a piston reset tool or c clamp or pliers. Piston tool can be rented from autozone or other auto parts store or you can find them online. I've never used one, but I hear tale it's easier. I was going to try to use it on mine, but have not.

EBC Brake pads

Alright, I appreciate everyone's feedback. I checked out RockAuto, and they have good deals... BUT, the shipping kind of kills it. (I put together pads/rotors, and the shipping was nearly $100 with each part coming from a different warehouse.). Somebody told me to get EBC Redstuff pads, which I hear is good. I checked Amazon but couldn't find any that fit my car (BUT I hear their 'Does this fit my car' tool doesn't work well.). Another site said that EBC DP32075C fit's the Jetta S.... But it also says 'With bosch calibers'. Is their an easy way to tell if mine came with Bosch Calibers (Or were they even an option on Jettas?)? Sorry for all the questions... And thanks again for all the help. I never realized how hard it would be to find decent brakes for a newer car.

The HPS were good for the street, dust wasn't bad, but I thought they weren't enough for me on the street, and definitely were not on the track (as I overheated them routinely).

Pros: dust wasn't bad
Cons: overheated them routinely

I can't believe the brakes used here, this is after all the 'Sport' model out of the Taurus lineup so therefor it should have received a better braking setup.
