The Mazda dealership tried to do that to my wife, took it to my own mechanic and all they replaced was the bushing

I just did my front lower control arms on my 14 FXT. It's the forward bushing that usually wears out and causes a vibration at highway speed. My driver side one was pretty bad.

I just had mine done on my 2019 Forester with 112K miles for the same reason I see yours - the bushings are shot. It made a night/day difference in handling. I had noticed the car had gotten less "planted" and more skatey on the road over any rough pavement or bumps.

I do recommend the S3 or RS3 bushing if possible. FCP has the corteco version for something like $10 each. It’s a solid rubber version that will last longer and I noticed no increase in NVH on my Mk6 Golf.

I currently have energy suspension bushings all around on my 69 Camaro. Lube them up well when you install them and they won't squeak. It will ride a bit firmer as it won't absorb road imperfections like the rubber bushings do.

Since you have a decent driveline the only modifcations I would do would be poly bushings for front and rear subframes

KYBs are probably the higher quality shock/strut. But their bushings in their full assemblies are HOT garbage. They break apart pretty quickly.
