2. Chevron Techron once every oil change or every 3000 ish miles or so to maintain the fuel system going clean.
Owner reviews for fuel additives
I use a bottle of RedEx every few tanks in my 2015 320d, which is on about 90k. It seems to have increased my fuel economy by about 5%, tested by doing the same 200 mile route many times.
Our little Dietz-el with 3600 hours loves Amsol.
Tire inflation is important to fuel economy. Even 1 or 2 psi above the recommended pressure will yield positive results. Also, (in the US, at least) different brands of gas have different fuel additives in them... my V70 gets it's best mileage with Shell or BP.
When I was having really bad fuel consumption on my Corolla I put some of the Lucas with a full tank of gas and worked like a champ
Lots of naysayers regarding this. However I started using Lucas in my 1995 tacoma and it got rid of a rough idle, got. better gas mileage, and even got rid of p0300’s codes.
I ran bg44k through a 2006 6.0l ls engine woth a misfire, (2 bottles now) i has not misfired in 10,000 plus miles since. Best $40 i have spent , i use bg religiously ever since.
I do every tank. The whole family knows to add it when driving the truck. Conditioner year round. Stanadyne or Motorkote and I add cetane. Never had an injector issue.
Have had a little luck with Chevron Techron.
you got ripped off, per usual of the dealership.
you could literally pour a bottle of whatever from the gas station and it'd be the same thing. they definitely DID the service but you can just buy it in a bottle next time and do it every 5000 miles
