After 6 months of using the Mannol ester version of this I can say it works on diesels.
Owner reviews for fuel additives
Hyundai's fuel aditive/cleaner is the same stuff as Techron.
Every tank since has had additive. Stanadyne usually but will run any of the major ones.
Used power service for 15yrs off/on. It’s the only additive that actually made a mildly noticeable improvement in the 5.9 injector Noise and slight smoke increase.
It's B.S. Get a bottle of Chevron Techron in Advance auto or auto zone for like $10-$12 and pour it in your gas tank at your next fill up. Done.
Liqui Moly Diesel Purge that I always pour in after a fuel filter replacement.
Redline 85+ has worked well for me in past on my ALH, they also have diesel fuel catalyst
As far as fuel additives, they're best used to clean injectors and keep them clean. The best for this IMO and the one I use is Redline SI-1, best ingredients the details of which I don't recall of the top of my head, did the research long ago.
I have run all of these tests and can confirm the additives in V-Power do have an effect on engine cleanliness, engine power and fuel economy. Long term use of V-Power (or equivalent) WILL ensure your engine runs at it’s best and will improve and maintain fuel economy and engine power.
You're probably better running premium fuel and oil rather than using additives. Stick with Shell V-Power and Shell Helix/Castrol EDGE and ditch the Redex.
