On non hybrid Porsche’s that have Auto Start Stop, the ECU can actually fire a spark plug with a little injection of gas into a cylinder that’s stopped in a good place to help get the engine turning quicker than just the starter alone.
Owner reviews for spark plug
Replace the spark plug with a genuine NGK plug.
I always get the oem brand because that works the best for your car. I get NKGs for my vw beetle
Iridium, tried and proven. Ruthenium looks like is an experiment by Ngk, I would give ti some time before these plugs prove themselves reliable before buying.
Denso TT iridium are so far the best ones I’ve tried in terms of performance
Oil change at 123k miles " OEM filter and Castrol Edge 5w40 OEM air filter at 116k miles OEM cabin filter at 116k miles OEM Bosch spark plugs at 116k miles
Another plug to give a try if you want to stay stock heat range - NGK's Ruthenium plugs LFER7BHX . Call it a placebo effect but after install cold start idle sure felt smoother and after 4000 miles they're running as good today as day one, gas mileage has been pretty good as well around 31 mpg +-1mpg @ 75mph. No cold start misfires. Overall a pretty solid plug for this engine and it's reasonably priced.
The Neuspeed chips don't perform well at all, and the 2.0's do best with BOSCH FR8DS's.
I have a 1986 blazer and replaced the spark plugs with ac delco factory spark plugs purchased from napa, about 2 months later I was driving the vehicle and the vehicle had a miss then starting blowing out oil from the Pcv vlave from excessively high crank case pressure after electrode fell out.
Now that I've done the job, I can't tell if it's just in my head but the car seems to have less power now. It was already a sluggish engine to begin with it but it feels like I need to floor it even more. Also, the gas mileage has dropped from 25 MPG to 22.5 MPG.
