Aisian is a top quality aftermarket brand and so is Fel-Pro, so I'd assume they used a high quality starter motor as well.

Turns out it was the starter, sometimes it didn't engage and when it did is didn't disengage
I have had good Bosch starters with a bad solenoid. Loose positive post, as you describe.
Reman is fine! Go with Bosch.
Denso starters last forever, it's the motor contacts that die. You can get a set from a Toyota dealer for a massive fraction of the cost of a OEM Reman ( the only way to go if you don't have time).
For me it’s mostly can I fix it myself or not. My Nissan and Infiniti don’t really break down, I’ve had instances of it just not starting, which is usually always battery or starter. Otherwise a leak or a suspension piece will show wear
The only thing I hate is my civic ate a starter and replacing it myself was a POS because its under the engine. But my civic is still cheap to fix and maintain and relatively easy to work on compared to other brands.
Go Mitsuba or you will get all kinds of codes and engine will eventually go into limp mode. Maybe a week or a few months down the road......ask me how I know !!
Need a new starter. This happened to my 2010 about 14 years after i bought it. After a few weeks of this it wouldn't start at all.
I had the starter motor replaced at a discount of around 75% after experiencing similar problems with my 2020 Mazda 6. It wasn't a battery problem, since I had replaced the battery just a few weeks earlier. I guess those starters are faulty.
