They are excellent. Firm (supposedly 10% greater than stock), but still provide suspension articulation. The car felt very planted on hairpin and carousel turns encountered on a recent mountain drive.

I've had several sets on many VW over the years , rocking them on my mk4 tdi now .
Get rough country 2.5" frontier struts upfront with spc uca from rock auto and stock orm Nissan camer bolts.
Do yourself a big favor and don't try to tear down and rebuild the front struts just to reuse the spring. Just buy the KYB loaded struts. It's just not worth the hassle.
Buy once, cry once. Get the good stuff (I agree Bilstein, Koni orange, Tein). You'll need new bushings and strut bearings to replace what comes out.
I had my mechanic install Monroe struts on my 2013 CR-V before I sold it and purchased my 2021 Avalon. Monroe struts noticeably improved the ride of my CR-V and I highly recommend them.
I ordered up bare kyb excel-g struts. Went ahead and installed them. But the ride is harsh. I'd say ride quality is a 3 out of 10 in town 5 out of 10 on the highway. I think the new struts are acting fine. It's just the springs are so tight and don't allow any forgiveness. The handling is great around the corners.
I used Monroe struts on my 2005 Corolla... They’re good. Nothin amazing but if your current struts are really bad you’ll notice a big difference.
I had those on my truck and then bought the fox one on a deal the pucks ride better than the rough country but go for the fox
Yeah I’ve had Rough Country on my trucks before. It gets the leveled look, but that’s about it. Much rougher ride and not confidence inspiring at all.
