I'm also a fan of the Aisin TKT021 kit. Aisin is the OEM manufacturer of the water pump, and Mitsuboshi is the OEM manufacturer of the actual belt (the belt that comes with the TKT021 kit is a Mitsuboshi).
Owner reviews for timing belt kit
I used AISIN TKT021 kit and would use that again. I think there might be a few rollers the kits don't include which might be worth replacing every couple of timing belts.
I’ve used the Aisin brand in three different Sequoias with very good results.
make sure they use the Aisin kit or OEM parts. Nothing else goes.
Get the AISIN kit from RockAuto - OEM components, nothing made in China. Good to go.
The Aisin kits on Rockauto are composed of all OE parts. Also comes with decent instructions.
I used Aisin Timing Belt Kit for my 100 series at 90k and it has worked great. Now at 140k. I will use Aisin again at 180k.
Aisin kits are usually oem. most hondas and toyotas i see are factory aisin, they are the only kit i use in my shop.
my older style gates kit has a rattling belt tensioner pulley and it's about 40k miles old.
I always by a Dayco or Gates kit. None of this Amazon made in China garbage.
