MOOG Ball joint

Moog is fine. Just don’t use the moog ball joints and install Sankei 555 or OEM ball joints and you’ll be fine. I am running Moog Suspention and Sankei ball joints. 4 years no issues.

Pros: 4 years no issues

I use MOOG problem solvers replace and inspect them every 4 years. I can replace both sides in a little under an hour. I prefer MOOG’s design and like that they are greaseable over the sealed OEM design.

Pros: greaseable design, easy to replace

For Honda Accord/TL/TSX, all the aftermarket ball joints are junk. In my personal experience, Moog lower ball joints last 2-3 years, while most other brands will last a year or less.

Pros: Moog lasts 2-3 years
Cons: other brands last less
Vehicle: Honda Accord

I would just avoid MOOG. For about 5 years every moog item with a ball joint I've installed failed early, so I stopped recommending MOOG around the time COVID started.

Cons: failed early, poor reliability

MOOG Ball joint

My '09 Impreza had a clunk after installing MOOG ball joints and it turned out that the bore on one side wasn't tight enough/the part was too small, allowing it to move up and down against the retaining bolt.

Cons: part too small, bore not tight
Vehicle: Subaru Impreza
