Ball joint MOOG or OEM Toyota
Buy the parts oem from ourismantoyotaofrichmond.com, they are a Toyota dealership that specializes in selling parts based out in Virginia, they sell the ball joints for $120 each and outer tie rods for $75 each the tie rods are a little pricey, maybe you can look at other dealerships, but the ball joint price is hard to beat for oem.
I had just bought my new 2003 Tundra, and at 35k, the dealer replaced the ball joints. I've got 365k on the Tundra, and the ball joints are still tight
I replaced all my ball joints with MOOG. Problem solved!
Moog just updated its ball joints recently. So they have actually improved now.
Been using moog for 6 years, been great so far, no play yet after 80k miles.
I went moog. idk if i can complain, but I've only put 1k miles on them.
I can attest to the drop in Moogs quality lately. Those ball joints just aren't as good as they used to be.
Avoid moog, I always had issues with them on Japanese makes.
Moog is junk now. they used to use copper bushings or sockets in the ball joints/sway bar links . Now they’re using plastic and we are replacing suspension and steering parts under warranty within a year of putting them into service.
Moog is trash. Seriously trash.
