Brake pads Akebono or OEM Volkswagen
Akebono ProACT or Brembo OEM ceramic pads are great for strong, reliable stopping power and low dust on a 2019 Fusion Hybrid; if the rotors are worn, replace or resurface them too.
Akebono Pads and Zimmerman Rotors are a popular combo. I just did them myself a few months ago coming off OEMs and stopping seems better and way less brake dust!
Akebono pads will dust less and no loss in performance.
I've been running those pads for a while now, not only do they feel and stop just like OEM unless you're a person that tracks the car, but they also keep your wheels clean longer. The amount of reduced dust is staggering. No other noise, I've never had them squeal, even when needing to be replaced.
Recently did a brake change on my 14 Q50S AWD, pads and rotors (Akebono) for front and rear for regular maintenance. After the change I did the same break in technique I’ve done with all of my vehicles and all was well.
akebono pads are amazing. try them, you wont regret it one bit.
Akebono pads have a backing for the piston to press into which is what melted.
Took my 2019 Golf R to the track with stock pads and rotors. The brakes started smelling really bad after 20 minutes of track time, and squealing a bit. Didn’t lose braking power significantly, but this is what they look like afterwards.
I replaced my brakes with Akebono. But I am not going to buy it again.
If you have white, the break dust will color your car.
