Brake pads Bosch or OEM Mazda
Just replaced acc drive belt, plugs and brake pads. One of the easiest cars to fix I've ever worked on. Overall, best car I've ever had.
I believe a division of Bosch’s automobile braking development is in NKY. They did the newish NSX brakes there.
Amazon usually has pretty good prices on Bosch pads if you prefer a brand name.
I did just bad slap my 13 recently with bosch blue caramics, and they have been great too.
I felt the stock 4th gen brake pads didn't grip as tight as would be expected on a 4 caliper brake system. So I replaced them with Bosch ceramic brakes. Highly recommend this to any of yall who feel the same.
If you slam on the brakes above 40 mph (when it is clear and safe to do so), you can feel the blood rush to your face.
I put Bosch QuiteCast pads and rotors on mine a year ago and have been very happy.
235 km/h on the german autobahn, from one border to the other, no issue! Except for the numerous heavy breaking... Going from over 200 to less than 100 several times in a row and you start loosing confidence in the brakes.
Pacific Mazda has been okay; they only pushed an unnecessary break maintenance so far.
I had this problem after working on a friend's Infiniti FX35 and also using Bosch ceramic brake pads.
The problem for me was that Bosch pads have a different inside and outside pad for the rears for that vehicle. I've used Bosch pads before and never encountered this.
The pads were not marked and nothing on the box indicated there were different sides so I didn't notice. But they have protruding nubs on the backing that cause the caliper to not sit properly and increase their thickness, causing constant drag on the rotors.
