Brake pads Brembo or Bosch
Around $2200 for a full brake job on my Jeep SRT's Brembo brakes! Stops on a friggin' dime too!
Just bought some Bosch brake pads and rotors off of Amazon. Made in China as well. The quality of the products were good too. Fit perfectly and works very well.
I use Bosch QuietCast brake pads. Never had a problem and work great.
He also really likes the responsiveness of the brakes.
So today I put on a new pair of Bosch brake pads, flushed the brake fluid, and removed that sensor from the windshield washer reservoir. It was too easy.
Brakes.. It's been said, but cost more to replace, are heavier but more powerful, so an advantage from that standpoint.
I used Bosch pads and rotors when I last changed my front pads [available from Amazon.com]. 13K on the new setup with no problems - stops well, quiet, no vibrations - and the non-friction surfaces of the rotor aren't rusty.
GermanAutoParts.com has front BREMBO brake pads available for 1986-1989 Scirocco 16V models. Brembo's premium ceramic compound provides increased stopping power and reduced dust combined with quiet, smooth operation. The multi-layer shims minimize noise, vibration and harshness for quiet, smooth performance. Brembo Ceramic pads are an excellent choice if you want to minimize dust and noise while increasing braking performance in general street use.
New brakes. All OEM replacements, however the Bosch pads are a bit squeaky
I just replaced the pads (Bosch BE1633H) and rotors (Textar 5Q0615301G) on my MK7 R, and after torqueing everything I noticed a clunk when rolling up and down my driveway (happened only when going from forward to reverse or vice versa). I jacked the car up, took the wheels off, and checked all the bolts, everything was tight and torqued to spec. I then noticed that the brake pad itself is shifting.
