Brake pads Brembo or TRW
I like the stock TRW performance pack pads on Brembo rotors. Stock PP brakes are more than good enough for a daily driver that gets occasional spirited driving. I also got 65,000 miles on the original set, which is a bonus
Brembo Z04 is very expensive but is the strongest pad you can buy
Vesrah RJL-ZZ is cheaper and can offer decent bite and is fairly linear pad, XX is stronger but also more progressive
EBC GPFAX is a good pad and cheaper, kind of similar to the ZZ but slightly less feel and weaker
One of my inner rear pads went at 110k. FCP euro has a full brake kit front and rear rotors with Zimmerman and TRW ceramic pads for around $400. It's OEM style replacement, so no real upgrade performance to speak but it's a daily not a track car and the price was right.
Zimmerman blank rotors + TRW pads. I just did my first brake change and these are silent and cost less than $400 for rotors/pads/bolts/grease.
I swapped my stocks for TRW/Zimmerman pad/rotors and so far they feel good.
Had my Giulietta's Brembo 330s fronts done (pads and discs) for about $350 with labour and taxes
I always go brembo for my brakes, I'm sure someone will tell me it's wrong but i've never had issues with them
Did you upgrade to drilled and slotted rotors? I did brembo metallic pads and brembo drilled n slotted in my e46 and they felt like that from the rip. Keep in mind if you’re upgrading to something that is meant for tracking then u kind of sacrifice comfort.
Mine are done after 7400km (4900mile). I just replaced the stock tires with Pirelli Corsa 2 and the grip difference over stock is amazing, now need new brake pads. I am leaning toward brembo sintered.
Update: I went with Brembo SR which are the Sintered Racing pads for the front and SP compound for the rear. The remaining pad life on the front was about 10% and 80% for the rear. My fronts were missing pieces of pad.
Every GM performance car I’ve had squealed until I dumped the OEM Brembo pads.
