Brake pads EBC or Akebono
I changed the front pads and rotors for the first time in my ‘17 at 116k miles in July. I went with Zimmerman Z coat 312mm non-pp rotors and Akebono ceramic pads. 4k miles on the new parts and the bite and pedal response is excellent!
Depending on your engine (taking the 2.0 turbo petrol as an example) EBC do a kit for all pads and disks for £506.57 including VAT.
I have ebc red stuff on my car. They produce dust but stop very well
If you want less brake dust then EBC Red Stuff. I ran them on my 435i and I am running them on my M4. They are fast road pads, not track pads. But they work well and there is pretty much no dust.
akebono euro pads are literally the best and don't produce that annoying black dust all over your wheels.. definitely worth the money.
Bumalik ako sa stock orig pero kung namamahalan ka sa orig buy akebono.
I use centric high carbon rotor blanks and EBC reds. They're great, although not quite zero dust theyre less than stock. Very grabby in the cold though, worse than stock for that.
maybe not the place but anyone have an idea as to why my newly replaced pads and rotors squeak? I got akebono ceramics paired with durago coated rotors and they stop like crazy, barely dust but they SQUEALLLLL when braking lightly and only lightly.
The EBC blues are not track pads... Despite how they market them. Once they cool from behind very hot they glaze over...
I wouldn’t run redstuff pads for autocross. I have, and they didn’t do so well.
