Brake pads EBC or DIXCEL
If I was set on EBC pads, I’d get the green stuff as they give the best feel, don’t suffer from long run in times and squeal when cold and wet.
Go with ebc yellowstuff. If you like to drive a little hard. Changing the brakes on these cars is very easy by the way.
Saved thousands and now have EBC breaks and rotors with red stuff , better performance way less money and installed from a highly recommended local shop!
What's the current pad thickness? I'm about to install EBC Yellowstuff pads and new rotors on my Allroad. I've had Redstuff pads on lots of previous cars and found it was a great compound for low dust and better braking performance over the factory semi-metallic pads. I mostly use Yellowstuff nowadays simply because I like the way they brake (sharp bite, no fade on the street). But they are super dusty.
I did the brakes and rotors myself for $300. Ebc brakes all day.
I went with EBC slotted with EBC red pads and it made a total difference in the bite and consistency of the braking on my 7.5.
The last set of pads I used on those rotors was EBC Yelowstuff Truck pads. They were awesome but wore out in 20kmi and squeaked like hell. They also completely ate my Brake Performance rotors. Holy cow they stopped good but, never again.
I switched to red stuff after the OEM needed replacement. A little less brake dust but I have noticed that the red stuff are not going to last the 38k miles my OEM did. I believe I will get around 24k out of them.
I ordered ebc pads for the front and they got here and they're way too small.
The EBC blues are not track pads... Despite how they market them. Once they cool from behind very hot they glaze over...
