Brake pads EBC or Hella Pagid
Pagid Yellows (also branded as RS29) is what I have on my 987.2 track car. If you want a track only pad, I’ve had great experience with PFC08, but I’ve used that on my BMW128i track car, so take that into consideration. Both can be used to/from track driving too. Just be prepped for a lot of squeal. Both are dusty as they should so be aware of that as well.
I ended up going with the same Rotor & Pads as I recently upgraded to on my rear. I stuck with EBC Reds because I might only do some light track use. They have been great pads for me in the past lasting almost 10 years!
I've been happy with my EBC Red stuff pads. Stop great, are quiet and best of all cut my brake dust significantly.
I run Pagid yellows, and yeah, they love to squeal when they're cold. Cold, as in, like you said, not at track driving operating temperature. Occasional street driving is loud, but I don't concern myself with that.
Not only is the yellow pad performance better at the track, but they are Pagid's "endurance" pad, so, at least compared to stock, they last a good deal longer too. Performance and durability are easily worth a little noise to me.
I just got green stuff for my wife’s ‘14 sport. It does feel better under braking than it did feel. I just used stock type rotors as it isn’t aggressively driven so no need for better cooling.
I installed EBC Red Stuff street/track pads on my 2008 Mazda 6 about 10 or so years ago - front pad set only. I selected the Red Stuff pads because I wanted the performance of a trackable pad set, and I got it! The pads were also advertised to be a "low dust" formulation, which we all desire, of.course. I installed them with ceramic pad grease, and did the brake pad bedding procedure as specified by EBC. Prior to installing and bedding the pads, I had the beginnings of very slight front brake pulsation/lateral rotor runout. Believe it or not, this pulsation/runout was resolved after performing the bed in procedure and did not recur. I got the performance increase that I sought - the difference was GREAT, even though I did the front pad set only and the car's stopping power was already good. I found that the pads were not really low dust, at least by my interpretation.
I upgrade to EBC yellow stuff and R1 Concepts drill and slots rotors,ECS tuning brake lines and Motul brake fluid. Very pleased, definitely recommended setup
I run EBC Redstuff pads and they’re good enough for regular driving. Way less dusting than OEM pads.
Fwiw I have the ebc yellows with their slotted rotors. I love the improved grabbiness but they do dust up alot.
I faded the yellows a few times (on track) and they were way dustier than HPS.
