Brake pads Ferodo or STOPTECH
I used DS2500 for my first 2 track days but outgrew them rather quickly on a 2800 lb car. Last time I swapped to DS1.11 and felt much more confident braking deeper into corners with zero fade at my intermediate level. Now I just use DS2500 for the street and canyons.
if you want raw stopping power then Ferodo DS2500's are great.
I was a huge fan of Ferodo DS2500s on Centric rotors. They performed insanely well for street duty and were decent enough for track days.
I have stoptech "performance brake pads" on my front and rear. Feels like OEM but more dusty
Ferodo DS2500 is about the best pad you can get.
I've got OE spec ferodo on my 208 GTi no complaints from me, got brembo on my Saab 9-5 aero again all good I would avoid the cheaper end of the market
Ferodo DS2500 were good in my daily/tracked GTI and track NB Miata, until I got GLOC track pads on the latter. Which are awesome. BUT the DS2500 held up to the track really well, I'd definitely say for a daily that gets tracked they're about as good as you might get. Grease the contact points on the pad with copper or other compatible grease and i think they don't make much noise at all.
i’ve ran ferrodo ds2500 on my gli, they worked well as a hybrid street/track pad but would fade a bit after a few hard sessions
DS2500s on my daily. Bit of squeak, but it’s not bad at all. I have EBC yellow on the rear as they don’t make DS2500s for a non PP mk7.5, and they’re garbage.
My rear pads cracked after 3 months, 4k km of use.
