Brake pads OEM BMW or Hawk Performance
Look at getting Ferodo DS2500 pads on the front axle and Hawk HPS pads for the rear axle. This is a HUGE upgrade and will improve your braking performance tremendously for both street and track.
I just had my brakes done all around, ATE rotors with Hawk HPS pads FTW, very little brake dust and my isht stops on a dime. I had my fluid flushed too, this upgrade was def worth the money
For my track setup I'm also running Hawk HPS pads out rear, very similar to the characteristics of the R4-S. I've run the R4-S before and prefer the Hawks.
I just installed Hawk HPS pads front and rear about week and a half ago. I did a 300 mile drive up in the twisty mountains here over the weekend and absolutely love the pads. No noise, very little dust, good feedback, cheaper than the Porters.
21K Ferodo DS2500/Hawk HPS - excellent grip
I've owned an 01 225 Coupe for one year this past November. It's an AMU motor code and I love the car still. These are the things I have had to replace so far, not counting upgrades: Brakes & brake fluid & front rotors (Hawk HP, ATE superblue) $350
At Sears Point, braking from 90+ three times per lap (2, 7, 11). Stock GTI vented rotors "work fine" with good fluid and Hawk Blues.
My old one... gotta get a new one... AP Racing 12\" - Hawk HP Plus pads - AP Racing (was vented) rotors
Acabei de instalar algumas pastilhas Hawk que não vieram com o sensor e o som de aviso e a luz já estão começando a me deixar um pouco louco.
the steering lacks the consistent weighting and tactile communication that a Porsche offers. For a car this rapid, it's not as talkative as it should be. We've also got reservations about the brakes. Our test car was fitted with competition-grade brake pads to cope with track use, but they still faded badly after a handful of hard laps.
