Brake pads Project Mu or Hawk Performance
Hawk HPS brake pads
I like my Hawk HP Street 5.0 pads and both were purchased from TireRack and helped increase my stopping power.
I am quite happy with Hawk HP+ on my NB.
I really liked Project Mu Club Racers as a "streetable-ish" track pad. They were fairly tolerable on the street as long as they were bedded in. They occasionally squeal when coming to a stop once below 15mph.
Hawk DTC 50 or 60 on front, DTC 10 on rear. Squeals for sure! Works great with cheap stock rotors and toyo RA-1 or RR... Its my daily (300k km) and now backup track car when weather is iffy
I have these, like others have said you can just get stock 33 GTR pads and rotors off of z1 if your in the states. I recommend if it’s in your budget DB5000(front)3000?(I think for rear) and some hawk ceramics, braided lines. It’s a huge difference from stock by upgrading whole system and depending on how much you drive it will last forever. I’m on like year 6 since upgrades and and the pads and hats are still in great shape
I went with DBA T2 rotors with Hawk Ceramics. This was my first time trying hawk and I will never switch unless necessary. These have been by far the cleanest brake pads I've ever run. I've tried most other popular name brands and even off brand stuff.
My focus rs has been doing this. I’m on OEM rotors with hawk dtc 60 on front dtc30 on rear. It performs fine on the streets and around town. When I take it to the track it starts to judder, noticeable 5 mins in but at the end of 20 min session it gets a lot worse.
Motul RBF600 is a popular fluid choice.
pad choices are far and wide. i run hawk HP+ which isnt really the best track pad but its gotten me by. the paint on the back of the pads melted off before i ever felt fade so i guess they worked well but i suspect im *at* the limit of their performance.
Hawk 5.0 were squeaky as hell.
