Brake pads STOPTECH or Centric
To me it looks like brake pad material on your rotors due to your street pads melting. Slap a new set a cheap pads on there from Autozone or something and drive it for a week or two that material should come off. As long as you don’t have vibration while braking they should still be good. Just make sure to use track pads next time. I personally run StopTech 309 pads because they’re good on track and street

Get a set of Centric PQ (posi-quiet) pads and rotors. Way better than any of the big chain brick and mortar store offerings for less $ too

I run StopTech Sport pads on my E92 M3 and they hold up very well for a dual duty pad. I prefer them over the other options listed.

Centric Posi Quiet Ceramics & 120 Series rotors from Tire Rack. Though not a CX5, my Mazda6 is running at 60k miles on this set.

Zimmerman Cross drilled rotors from FCP Euro with Centric posi quiet ceramic pads. So much less brake dust with these pads compared to stock.

The pads are very smooth but tend to creak at very low speed (like <2 mph) and they're very grabby when wet. 20k miles and they're maybe halfway worn down despite a lot of city driving and some very hard braking on a couple of mountain roads.

Just did the rear brakes on my wife’s subaru, the dealership was back ordered on the OEM pads and had centric ceramics.
Cons: cheap pads
I put stoptech pads on my 2011 hatch and they have been so beyond noisey they have been driving me insane. Gotta find something else to replace them with. Hope your experience is better!
