Clutch kit Luk or Sachs
I used sachs in the past with no issues.
I have this in my GTI. It's great.
I bought a Luk clutch kit that has given me no issues I think it’s like a stock replacement.
It's been running great since a mechanic rebuilt it with Luk kit
Having sold many OEM Sachs and Luk clutch kits, I noticed pressure plate rivets are slightly taller on modified pressure plates from many major clutch tuning brands.
I have done a couple of Mini clutches and I bought a new DMF and a stock clutch kit. I believe they were either Sachs or LUK clutch kits from FCPEuro.
having the engine back in and bolted up the weight of the clutch pedal is SUBSTANTIALLY better and it now feels like a commuter car’s clutch pedal rather than a leg press.
Mudei na minha carrinha em Novembro/2024 (curiosamente também Focus 1.6tdci) e paguei no total 670€.
Na fatura vem descriminado o kit com o valor de 440€ (LUK) e o restante para mão de obra.
I replaced my clutch earlier this year and chose Luk's clutch kit because it was cheaper. It works fine, but putting the car into first gear was a little bit harder at the beginning, it almost felt as if I wasn't pressing the clutch all the way, but I was. It got a little better over time, and changing through every other gear is like before the clutch was replaced.
I ran the Performance kit and by 4 months in it was slipping badly. This is after a break in period of 500mi (city driving) before running any significant power through it. I don't beat on the clutch by launching it or dropping it. I kept the OEM flywheel with this kit. It's also very heavy, and you definitely feel it in the pedal. Overall I wasn't satisfied with this kit.
