Shock absorbers Bilstein or Dobinsons
the Cayenne just had an engine out re-seal + timing chain job, is already deleted, and had the suspension replaced with GTS springs + F/R sway bars and Bilstein B6 at 160K miles.
Zimmerman Drilled Rotors
-EBC Yellowpads
-Bilstein B6 DCC Shocks (replaced at 97K miles)
I’ve had great results by simply driving it. Regular oil change intervals and fix any thing that breaks
What I’ve replaced so far:
Alternator
All the idler pulleys and serpentine belt
Upper control arms (old man emu)
Bilstien shocks and springs
Front Wheel bearings.
Front brake rotors (upgraded to the bigger v8 4Runner rotors and calipers
3 new sets of calipers.
Rear brakes. Rotors pads and e brake shoes
Stainless Brake lines.
I deleted the X-REAS on my wife’s Limited 4Runner and switched to the OME BP-51s . Did the same thing for her best-friend’s Limited 4runner and swapped it to Bilstein 5100’s. Both worked fine.
Lots of talk on this sub and on chevybolt.org about Blistein B6 shocks. Many say it improves the ride quality.
Dobinsons ims is awesome. Multi stage valves so you get a soft ride without compromise to the handling which is difficult to achieve
My full list for my 2 inch lift on my 2013 :
Bilstein 5100s , OME 2886 , JBA Off Road High Caster Upper Control Arms , and Ironman 4x4 Medium Duty Leaf Springs
I put Bilstein shocks on my 2016. they were a good upgrade in ride quality
The part number of this absorber is 68533962AB. It has BILSTEIN sticker on it. So I tried to find wiring replacement by BILSTEIN themselves but failed.
Stay away from 5100’s… they’re a rough and nasty ride
