Shock absorbers Bilstein or KYB
I made my own poor man's B12 kit! Except mine is now complete with badged housings and early top mounts. No bump stops in the front and vestigial foam stops in the back. I went mild on the cutting. The rears could go up a lot or down a little without cutting. Excited to see how she sits. Took some before measurements for what it's worth.
I put KYB monomax from Rock Auto they were a really great deal and feel great about a year later (almost 20k miles on em).
I recommend KYB shocks but not the Gas a Just ones. Swapped the oem ones out of my Wrangler and installed the silver ones. Rode a lot smoother, and Not expensive.
Update, went with the Comfort (B4)s... and they feel great. Comfy.
I found on a forum that rear springs for the 2009-2012 Vera Cruz fit the Santa Fe and give it approximately a one inch lift over stock and a much superior spring rate. Along with a new set of KYB gas shocks it changed the ride of the vehicle drastically for the better.
Went with bilstein b4’s and eibach pro kit. Couldn’t be more happier
You can try new shock absorbers and springs in the back to start with, youll gain a bit of ride height and bounce control, make sure to avoir super cheap brands because they are not worth it, stick with Bilstein/kyb/sach/mando/ for shocks
B8 with lowering springs was the sweet spot. Less roll, squat, and dive with a controlled & comfy ride.
They’re fine stock replacements, mine just started to leak after 4k years and roughly 20,000 miles
Now, for the shocks, one was fine. It looked dirty but didn’t look used. The second one however, wasn’t even the part that I ordered. For reference, I ordered (2) ###612. I only got one of those, and got one beat up used garbage ###613. Like, it was so obvious it was used. It was dirty as hell, the shock leaking oil all over, and the thread on the bottom was literally cracked/chipped off and messed up. So I kept the right shock, returned the other one I got a refund for it and just bought a brand new shock instead.
