Shock absorbers KONI or Sachs
My 86 I\u2019m currently on cost me $14,000. After 4 years with it i have about $3,500-$4,000 worth of up upgrades. pads+ rotors
Koni all day, you simply can't beat the lifetime warranty on them. I had my rears leak after 5 years and Koni replaced for free.
For me Sachs is the way to go for original quality and driving dynamics. I have Sachs on all 4 corners on both my W124s and they are great.
BUT op if I were you, I'd replace just the shocks (keep the Sachs springs) and replace with OE Sachs shocks (struts) Bilstien also makes yellows with OE ride height i believe, that would be the best street ride quality.
Don't replace the springs, just the shocks. Recommend Koni Special Actives for a bit better ride
I just installed Sachs shocks, and I love the ride
I’ve had both for a rwd N52, currently on Sachs. But the Sachs are still really good and worth it for the savings over the B4.
Just swapping to konis with stock everything else on my 325ic made a huge difference for autox. Comfy enough for thousands at a time lol.
I've been using the Koni Golds (FSD) for many thousands of miles. They are really really good at 80mph, but in town they shake my teeth loose and bump and klunk like crazy.
I have a K1500 with the 6.5 diesel. It rides like literal shit. I bought the Koni Red adjustable shocks to try and deal with it. It also rode like shit with the factory bilsteins everyone uses as a go to
