Bosch should be the safest choice for German cars, but avoid their gimmicky "Plus 4" plugs that have 4 ground electrodes, unless that's what the car came with from the factory.
Bosch provides OE for VW spark plugs. Plug your vehicle into autozone and just buy the bosch ones. They come pregapped.

if you want some good plugs, get some denso IKH24, they are 1 step cooler than stock plugs.. I change mine out every 20k miles..
My plugs seem to still be running great, only have about 35,000 kms on them.
IKH 24 plugs with stock coils work just fine. No cutout, rough idle or misfire.
I am getting better MPG,but It seems a little lacking in the power dept. compared to the autolite copper I had in?!Especially as far as low end torque.
For the OEM Bosch plugs, I would check them every 10k-15k miles at a minimum, based on what my stock plugs looked like @ 19k miles (sh!t).
At this point it's only showing symptoms after idling for 30 seconds or more (and even then not every time), like while waiting at a stop light. Only in first gear, second and beyond have no hesitation. This evening I swapped out the almost new Denso plugs (correct gap) and the problem seems absent.
