Tires Continental or KENDA
Some of the best tires I ever ran were a set or Conti Sport Attack's
I got 32k miles out of my OEM Continentals - I could have pushed them for another 5K miles (I’m in the desert so no snow and limited rain). That’s good enough for me, so I got another set about a week ago.
I’m getting the same continentals again. They’re whisper quiet.
Just got a set of Kenda Vezda this week, so I can’t really say much about them yet. This is the third time I have gotten Kenda. The last set was Kenda Kenectica, and I got over 50,000 miles out of them. They seem to be a pretty decent brand for being on the reasonably priced side. They lasted a lot longer than the Coopers that were on it before that.
I have carbon wheels and ride very rocky trails 6-8 hours/week. I use Kryptotal Fr and Kryptotal Re, both in enduro soft, and I don't use inserts. They are great tires. Excellent grip, fast rolling.
It may not be universal, but I can tell you from my experience, Continentals and damn good tires.
I went with the Continentals. Been on them for almost a year now. Feel great with good grip for spirited driving in the mountains.
OEM Continental Cross contact lasted about 40k miles.
My Klevers last about 20k and get noisy long before that. For me, traction is fine and hasn't been an issue in the rain or mild snow.
They're notoriously bad tires. Slow and slippery, and the puncture protection isn’t even that great, so they’re mostly overpriced.
