Tires MICHELIN or Falken
We have Michelin XIce 3’s on our QX50. No issues climbing Mariner St, Johnson St or David
Running 2.5” suspension lift on dobinsons 3-way adjustables and just popped on a set of falken Wildpeak AT/4 285s
I have CrossClimate2 on 3 of my cars. I can’t believe how good this tire is.
I've used cross climate 2 tires on my bolt for the last 35k miles. You take a range hit. But the traction and no more squealing tires. The traction gain is insane.
I’m running a set of CC2 for the third winter now also in Southern Ontario. The past two winters have been relatively mild but this winter has seen more typical accumulation of snow and ice letting me really get a sense of how the CC2’s perform. In short I’ve been completely impressed with how great they are in winter conditions. Last week during a 125km commute between Kitchener/Waterloo to Toronto I drove all on snow covered highways and stayed firmly planted, tracked straight, and at speed in a RWD car to boot. The CC2’s have about 25k km’s on them and they perform like new.
The Crossclimate 2 is a good tire that lasts and is worth the money. The weatherpeak last about 30,000 miles and has the thinnest sidewall of all time. Shop around more if you want but DO NOT BUY THE WEATHERPEAKS under any circumstances .
I have the WildPeaks and would buy them again. Good ride, quite, and have worn well.
I bought a set of 275/50R22 Defender LTX 2 from Costco for about $305 a tire and it was a massive upgrade from OEM. Highly recommend
I have the Pilot Sports now and the most annoying thing is they get small flat spots in just 8hrs of being parked overnight or at work. They work themselves back out after a few minutes of driving but it’s something I’ve never felt with any other tire.
Had the same ones on a Crosstrek. They take the cake as my worst tires. Period. They handled worse in snow than my now Michelin Pilot Sport A/S tires, which is NOT a high bar. And only lasted 40k miles before the tread was done.
