Tires MICHELIN or Falken
Pulled the trigger on the Falken WILDPEAK A/T 255/55R19 much beefier tires. No way the Ms. can curb rash the rims now.
I ordered the same style rims in satin black 18” on T Sportline last week w/ Michelin X-Ice Snow.
I've had these for about 16,000 miles. 2 Wisconsin Winters and a summer. I am still extremely happy with them. OP nailed the Winter/wet portion. To add- whether warm or cold out, they perform more like true summer tires on dry pavement. I highly recommend them.
I’ve had Falken Pro G5 all-season tires on my Fit for a year now, and for the price, they are very impressive. They grip surprisingly well when taking corners, and they haven’t experienced any dry rot or cracking despite the hot weather here in Texas.
Ran the 660’s this weekend. Like the feel and the grip on my Camaro. They did well with a heavy car.
Anyways, I'll be looking to get the RT's after seeing how well they perform locally I was amazed by them
Ran the 660s for the 1st time today on my CAM SS 1LE. Small, tight course, but they felt great.
I think the 660's are the 'smart choice' being $200 cheaper and would probably last longer than the Yoks, specifically because of only 1.3\* camber and outside shoulder wear. I've also heard they don't heat cycle out like the RE's, which is a huge bonus IMO.
But now running 912's littel better in snow, and wet. Haven't really pushed them on dry roads.
I had a set of Michelin hydroedge on my Mustang, they were awful. No traction in any condition, and dry-rotted similar to shown above, but not quite as bad. And only about 4 years old.
