Tires MICHELIN or Firestone
I was thinking of getting the Michelin Pilot A/S on my TSportline 20x10 TSS wheels but went with the Conti ExtremeContact DWS 06 plus.
No other tire beats a Michelin for smoother ride. After multiple sets starting from PS AS1, best All season tire money can buy.
I ended up replacing with the Michelin Pilot Sport All Season 4. I was happy to find that the ride quality significantly improved after this.
Therefore Firestone builds a tire that doesn't require tire blankets to have a safe level of performance.
I love the CrossClimate2 but would try the Weatherpeak next on 2020 RAV4 Hybrid. Only con I've noted with the CC2 is that the gas mileage has dropped like 5-10% though that could be temporarily as the tires break in, and the OEM Dunlop are low rolling resistance tires with poor grip/high noise.
The guys at the Motoring Club in West LA had a 4C Spider to rent for a while, which I did, and it was amazing. The example I drove had a more neutral wheel alignment and Michelin PS4S tires, it was really solid in turns, not the death machine people say at all.
Michelin defender. Good tread life, quiet and good in any wet conditions
A set of studded Firestone winterforce..
7 seasons and still great.
The best middle ground would be your UHP All Seasons category. Not as performance oriented as summer. But also not as costly. Michelin Pilot Sport 4 A/S, Conti DWS06+ for example.
I would stay away from the Pilot Sport A/S 3+. I put a pair on the back of my 15 E550 Coup. 4,000 miles and they were bald.
