Tires MICHELIN or GISLAVED
For my hellcat the best are Michelin PS4 and nothing else. Superior tire and warranty. Costs a little bit upfront then warranty then every 15k miles at 50% off.
Had PSs on my BMW years ago. Best tires ever. It’s like riding on rails!
I went with 16" Michelin Primacy 4 68db ones and road noise has reduced quite a bit. Plus if you're in the UK, your 16" rims will never touch the kerb!
On my lightning I’m at 50 Ibs, I know it’s higher than recommended psi, but I noticed tire wear was a problem on these chats. After I increased to 50psi, range increased 10% and tires look great at 34000 miles, half tread left, Michelin tires.
The PS5 is really good i like them. I run them on 1.95 bars on the street with coilovers and the ride is pretty good. It also has a lot more grip than the potenzas had, quieter too.
I just got my first set, so far I love them! They’re a little noisy on certain roads but nothing that’s unbearable.
the Pilot Sport 5 is an incredibly good tire, wet or dry. They hold temperature very well, provide plenty of grip, and seem surprisingly durable.
I have these on my forester I bought used two years ago. I have maybe rotated them once, never had an alignment, and will need to buy new ones next year. Not because the tread is wearing out but because they are getting those cracks from being nearly 5 years old. Fantastic tires and i will be purchasing again!!!
Truly a shame that Michelins dry rot so quick because they ride great and are pretty good mileage wise. The general rule is replace tires every 5 years, but I see Michelins start dry rotting just 3 years after production. Really sucks for older people who don’t drive as much.
I had the Michelin AS4 on my last car, I wouldn't do them again. They're loud and ride poorly.
