Tires MICHELIN or MRF
I currently have Michelin Primacy 4 tires under my Mini Cooper 116hp, and they're very nice, although not that brilliant in wet weather.
I recently got Michelin crossclimate 2’s and really like them. Smoother ride and handle snow well.
Incredible in the snow and quiet on the road, even at highway speeds. Smoothed out the ride too.
They are VERY nice tires.
I got some Michelin S1’s and they was a huge improvement to my grip and stability!
Little late to this thread. But my wife had Michelin Latitude Tour HP tires on her Ford Explorer when she bought it new. They are a high mileage compound tire. And she got every bit of 75,000 miles out of them over 5 years. No major or noticeable loss of grip, did fairly well in the rain, even at the end.
Ditch the Geolanders and get Michelin CrossClimate2 tires.
CrossClimates are a much better tire in my experience and opinion. They are stiffer and less soft, much more sporty feel but with balance. I felt like I had less control with a boaty steering feel on the Weatherpeaks.
My caution about Michelin cross climates is the noise and the performance out of snow/rain. It is funny to watch people switch from cross climates to winter tires because they're the same.
Michelin just always crack.
