Tires MICHELIN or Nokia
Nokian Hakkapelita’s … used to run pirelli sotto zero 3 and blizzaks … never going back. Nokians are WAY better in the winter.
X-Ice for me. A few reviews noted they did a bit better in slush, water, etc vs just deep snow so they make sense where I live.
Michelin x ice worked awesome for me.
Nokian Hakkapelitas. They are expensive, but once you try them you can't go back.
PS4S are the best tires I’ve ever had but are a lot more expensive.
I ran Pilot Sport 4S and they were great, although pricey.
our 2016 didn't come with falken, but whatever similar brand it had were awful and I happily replaced them at 20-25k miles with a set of michelin a/s 3+, which have been much better.
Replaced ours at 20k. They were so loud! Michelin primacy tour I believe. Huge upgrade
I had the Cross Climates on my last car. They were mounted Feb 2021. The Cross Climates came out in 2015 as a summer tire with winter capabilities. They were pretty good. I liked how they handled when I went through a huge deep long puddle/water build up on the highway. My car wasnt pulled to the left if the water was on the left for example. They handled pretty decently in the snow. While driving over slush or ice on the highway I felt the car was secure and planted. Although I did feel some slipping at times but recovered because of their grip right away. I think they handled better than the Michelin Sport All season tires I had on my BMW. As for summer handling I thought they were great. They did feel a bit slower or clunky going into fast corners but they gripped well.
Another vote for the Continental DWS... I have had them for front tires on my '06 for about a year..only reason I haven't replaced the stock rears is because they still have tread left at 73K!(they are Michelin Primacys which are a nice tire but only under dry or wet conditions..tread life is awesome, but they're terrible in snow)
