Tires MICHELIN or OEM Audi
Just got the Michelin Pilot Sport A/S and love them.
I use Pilot Sport A/S 4s and they can handle any normal (i.e. non-blizzard) amount of snow with relative ease. They were great in the Midwest last winter, including in the snow.
We have had Michelin Defenders on both ours they ride and handle like no other tire I’ve had.
the cross clime2 are really good tires had them on my van for a couple of years they are a little louder but are almost as good as mich ice on snow and ice and better in rain.
I replaced the stock Michelin Energy Saver set with Michelin Defender2 last year. Never going back.
Definitely better grip and handling, especially when wet. There was an impact to range but it was pretty negligible.
Pick up some Michelin Cross Climate 2’s. Triple peak snow rated, 60k miles, and perform well even in the heat.
I bought all weather Michelin cross climate2 tires. I don’t want to have 2 sets of tires. I live in southern Ontario and we get snow yes but roads are generally taken care of well and I don’t go North at all.
I put good winter tires on it (Michelin X-Ice Snow EV) and I’ve not had an issue with RWD. Today was the first day I’ve driven it in pure winter conditions and it was a dream to drive.
Those tires are shot. Michelins have a habit of dry rotting early. They’re decent tires, but I’ve seen them rot like that all too often.
I had PS4S for years as well then figured to switch to the All season version of Michelin. BAD mistake on my part. Car was squirrelly and i initially thought maybe its a new tire and the treadblocks are high. Wrong. the feeling of the brand new PS4S was not squirrelly at all when I went back to it.
