The Michelins are smoother, quieter and have far better traction and thus handling. I got them because they have an 80K miles warranty and are rated #1 by “that” consumer magazine.
I had the Uniroyal Ice and Snow 3. Ran them for 5 years, for the price they impressed me.
The Michelin Crossclimate 2's are about the best passenger tire available right now, it's what I have on our Odyssey.
In Florida, have had Michelin Defender 2 on last two Odysseys. They are rated to go 95,000 miles. So they may cost a little more up front, but a good value over time.
I've always used Michelin Defenders for heavier vehicles like vans. They may be slightly noisier, but they last *forever*.
really like the Michelin Crossclimate2. They look a bit funky. Excellent in wet weather. Far better than the factory tires.
I bought crossclimate 2 and received over 3 feet of snow a week later.
Literally no issues at all in the snow and ice. Fantastic tire.
We put Pilot Sport EV All Seasons on our 2024 M60 with 22s. They’ve been fine so far, a little more noisy than stock but good in the wet.
