Tires MICHELIN or YOKOHAMA
I’ve had both, and they are both good. It’s the freezing rain and ice where I think the Michelins have a bit of an advantage.
Michelin Defenders on my truck and SUV. Huge gas mileage boost. Great all season tire. 80k warranty and they ride amazing. I\u2019m not going with anything else.
The X-Ice in particular manage to be excellent winter tires while having very good (probably best in class) tread life.
Love the x ICE !! Soo quiet and fantastic grip in rain and snow
Ive got the x-ice snow tires for my truck, great tires, low noise, great grip on ice and snow.
From my experience on LS430, they last longer. Michelin MXV4 lasted 60k miles and got m through winter.
X-ice will last longer because of the tread construction and comes with a bit of a warranty. They handle phenomenally.
Michelin Defender 2 . They came with my car when I got it and opened my eyes to what a good new set of tires is like. They also last a really long time. Im shocked to still see alot of thread instead of shocked by seeing how fast the tread is wasting
I bought these for my Lexus replacing latitudes, went to Lexus got an alignment, put it on the road to Tennessee probably 4-500 ish miles one way. They were pretty grippy on the back roads, but highway driving was just to loud for me. So I took them back within the 1000 mile guarantee, when I got back from Tennessee and got a new set of latitudes. They are good tires for sure but they are also directional tires so that's where you get the bit of road noise. But they do have hella grip.
My first mini had about 3 degrees and would get about 5k miles out of a pair of front tyres. That was with yokohama A008s all round.
