Tires Pirelli or BFGoodrich
I'm running Pirelli PZero Corsa System and enjoy them
Pirelli Nero series, or if you want that round look with quite a lot of performance then Pilot Super Sport...
The general consensus was that 235/40 should fit just fine with no rubbing on stock wheels and suspension. Do keep in mind, PSS tires are a tad wider than stock Pirelli.
Ended up ordering the last set of Pirelli Sottozero 3s in the country from tire rack. I'm getting them installed today.
I put over 40k on my p zero tires with the mk6, I know people dog then but I was glad to get them again with my mk7.
I also have the Pirelli Cinturato P7 on my wife's MK6 Jetta and I like them very much as well. They are just as quite and smooth as the Michelins on my CC.
I got the same tires on my 2-door mk7 GTI. I think the tires are great but they were vibrating on the freeway so i had the deal check the balance and two of them were slightly out of balance. Rebalanced and so far so good.
I have the Pirelli P-Zero Nero 225/40HR18 on Detroit wheels. They were pleasantly quiet until a few thousand KM then I started to notice a tire noise. No bumps hit and it's all 4 corners.
I had Pirelli winter tires on my '11 Tiguan. They sucked right from the get go. No traction.
Skip the P-zeros, I hate mine. There's so much road noise I feel like the tires are made of cement sometimes.
