Tires Pirelli or BRIDGESTONE
I'm running a used set of bridgestone re71rs's (also 205/50/15) this year and oh my lord they are so much better even if they are used and heat cycled out. Makes my slow fwd car far better than the 615s could've ever dreamed of.
Bridgestone. Awsome performance and puncture resistance.
I dumped mine around 30K, probably too late actually. Have run Pirelli's ever since (90K miles now) and I will continue to do so....they've worked out well and I get around 40K on a set.
excellent tires. fast intermediate/middle advanced pace, they are excellent tires that wear very well and are very fast. I've run a lot of tires and I'm just as fast on S22s as some of the racier and much faster-wearing alternatives.
I run S21s on track on an SV650 and they are excellent!!! The S22s are better but both are perfect sport/street/track tires
I had the S22 on my first trackday, also my first time hypersport/sport tires. They were amazing for my tuono 660 Factory. Super sticky and I never felt that I was running out of grip, always had more than enough.
Tried Pirelli P6s and they were terribly slippery in the rain. I ran DWS06s on my 13 CC & 17 CC. Was the best choice for ride and performance.
My Thruxton R had Diablo Rossi Corsa stock tires. The belts were showing by 3500 miles, (they are a tire designed for track use) If you’re looking for high mileage tires, the ones I feel really meet that criteria are the Michelin Road series tires. Amazing in the wet / cold and the compound is very good for upright riding for daily driving.
Mine went on pretty easy, but they are out of balance by a metric fuck ton. I've had to take them off and rotate them around, just so they wobble "less".
The factory Bridgestone tires only lasted about 24k miles.
