Bridgestone winter tires are better quality than the Firestone Winter Force unless you're looking to have them studded.
Like the Bridgestone Turanza 6 is pretty damn good, it's probably the best summer touring tyre on the market right now. Comfort and low noise typical of a touring tyre, with performance approaching a UHP.
I mean one of the first things I did on my Golf R was.... better rubber and it really did transform the car.(FYI... highly recommend the newish Bridgestone Potenza Sports). I guess the other point is.. don't skimp on tires. Pay for what you get.
I swapped out my Potenza's in favour of year round all seasons - I went for Pirelli's new PZero AS Plus 3s. The grip in moderate temperatures (wet & dry) so far has been fantastic, they do have a bit of a high pitched whine to them in the wet though.
My Mazda3 OEM tires were BRIDGESTONE
TURANZA EL440, and they worked amazingly and lasted for a full 50k miles.
I just went from $20 chain reaction tires to new pirelli pzero race 4s tires. They are better in every way: faster, lighter, quieter, better ride, look better.
The Alenza is way better than the ecopia tires. Go with those.
Hopefully Pirelli can develop a tyre that heats up quicker and slides less while cold.
I am NOT impressed by either set of Pirelli tires I have owned. Compared to those the Pirelli have much less grip and if the road is even slightly damp they slide all over these things are supposed to be "ultra high performance" won't ever get these again. Dry grip is ok. But I find they squeal and let go at a much lower speed than the previous khumo set.
I wasn’t a fan of the original Bridgestones. They died an early death with just freeway driving due to a track focused wheel alignment.
