Tires Toyo or BFGoodrich
Ive got a 2023 trd sport and run 265/70/17s (bfg ko2)on TRD wheels with no issues.
I have a 2014 with 19” rims but I love the AT3s (255/60/19). They look great. They fill out the wheel arches just right and look like the right tire for the kind of vehicle it is. I’ve got 16k miles on them and they have a lot of thread left, still look practically new. I don’t notice any freeway or road noise.
I’ve had absolutely zero issues running Toyo ATIIs year round and I know plenty of people who haven’t had issues with Duratracs or KO3s either.
I run KO2s on my truck year round. I’ve never had dedicated winter tires for my truck so I can’t compare to that, but the all terrains are noticeably better on snow and ice than the all seasons that came with it. You still need to use common sense with driving to the conditions but the tires do help
Western Canadian skier here. I run Studded Toyos on my outback every winter, it’s amazing!
The Toyo snow tires on my car have been awesome. I kinda used them all season because the grip was just too fun. Somehow have lasted nearly 30k miles with a third of the tread left too, and I drive my WRX spirited on curvy roads a lot.
Snow tires make a car with decent grip in the snow into great grip in the snow. Especially in the slushy slop.
I did exactly one road / camping trip in my Gen 2 Tundra with the stock BFGs. I got 19 mpg highway. I also got stuck in the desert.
open country are great in the snow and do okay off-road. as has been said they're not the greatest in the rain.
Sunt un cacat btw, nu va luati.
Hated the KO3s in the rain. Did a 1000 mile trip and as soon as I got home had Discount Tire swap them for AT4Ws.
