For me it is incredibly durable. There are hundred of chips on my Model 3 windshield with 53k miles due to freeway driving most of the time, but it is still not cracked yet.

I got a brand new windshield on my M3 for $100. My insurance took care of the rest. I went through Tesla because I didn’t want to be dealing with this same exact BS that they are trying to run on you.

Cons: had to wait 3 weeks
Model3 in San Diego. Got it replaced and calibrated by Tesla service for $943.
My CPO had a fairly pitted windshield on delivery. Luckily it was replaced for delamination, the new one is holding up OK.

Mine was less than 4 months old when it developed a craxk starting at the bottom and worked its way up. Not sure why tesla windshields are so easy to crack.

The Glass on Tesla vehicles is INSANELY prone to chips and cracks. I’m on my third windshield MYLR

First winter with my Model Y and I have had 2. Luckily repaired both immediately however, one circular chip repair didn’t take very well visually, but told it will hold. My personal anecdotal experience is leading me to believe that all windshields from various car manufacturers are not the same :(

Replaced the windshield twice in a matter of months after delivery. It was an extremely frustrating experience.

Replaced my windshield 3 times within a year. First one was by rock chip from Amazon truck. Second one was by dead bird from the tree. Third one was by homeless in downtown SF.
