I used to always go with OEM Honda parts for timing belt and water pump jobs. But the price of the OEM parts have gotten so high that I went with [this kit] on Amazon for my last TB job on my GSR, in late 2018. Mistuboshi timing belt, NPW water pump, GMB tensioner pulley. Those are all Japanese OEM parts suppliers, so I was comfortable using them. Almost 20k miles on thost parts now and everything is working great.
Reviews of spare parts for Acura
I had them on 2013 Acura Tl. Handled well and lasted a long time.
KYB shocks are working fine for me. I have an ilx. Same platform
The Duralast one looks to have a lifetime warranty.
Tie between Royal Purple or Pennzoil, choice usually based on availability or sales. I might slightly favor Pennzoil due to its connection with Shell as I exclusively use Shell 93 fuel for the additives.
I replaced my starter 3 times in 9 months on my rsx.
1. Buy new. I got 2 reman densos that failed within 1 month. Cheap WAI off Amazon was cheaper and new, and it's still working after 6 mo.
Absolutely. I live in northeast Ohio which has lake effect snow and I’ve used a second set of wheels with Blizzaks for years. They are almost as good as having 4WD. You won’t fishtail around corners and braking is good.
My TLX came with Michelin Primacy A/S tires and they were very quiet . They were not grippy enough for my liking though, so I ditched them for the Continental DWS06+.
Those shocks are shit for use with coilovers.
Im going to say OEM. I have a 2004 acura tsx, which is essentially an accord. I replaced my alternator with a denso remanufactured unit from rockauto. It worked, but the battery light stayed on. I bit the bullet and bought an OEM a year later just to turn the damn light off.
