I have a 2017 set of Continental ContiProContacts on my A4 Quattro and they are still very good in all ways.
Reviews of spare parts for Audi
Mate, this is probably the timing chain and tensioner.
You’ve already got **P0016**, stalling at idle, worse with start stop, and some cold start noise. That’s all early timing issues on these.
Every 5,000-6,500 km oil change using **VW.508** oil (NO 10,000 km oil changes)... Oil like Liqui Moly **Top Tec 6200 0W-20**
Been running these on my Q7 the last few winters. I’m in MA and it seems like we rarely get snow anymore, and the dry performance feels pretty on par with my all seasons. Just got back from a trip to VT where it was insanely cold, icy, and snowy and did a fair bit of driving on unpaved unplowed roads with no issue. I even intentionally tried to break traction or get the ABS to trigger and it just refused.
Got some for the SQ5. Great performance in the snow, while still pretty good on dry pavement. A bit prone to aqua planning on heavy rain days. I do find them a bit noisy on dry pavement after a couple seasons though, but that could be a snow tire thing.
I have them on my SQ5. Agree with all the other comments, they’re excellent winter tires.
Brake dust- so much brake dust.
I own a tuned Audi, the only thing to go bad in it is the water pump which is a super common issue to the point Audi repaired it for free under extended warranty.
I'm currently driving a brand new Q5 while my car gets a new water pump. The dealership *apologized* for giving me that loaner Q5... lol. I honestly, really, truly hate it. It has a premium price, but sitting in it with all the plastic everywhere, does not feel premium.
Ditching my 2024 SQ5 for something without throttle lag and brakes that you have to press through the floor to engage. Audi says “drives as designed” and nothing they could do so I’m out.
