get the Bosch brand their the same as OEM trust me I know don’t get any other brand even though their going to be cheaper get the Bosch. Besides honestly most of the ignition coils is Bosch companies just throw their name on it to charge more
It is recommended to change break fluid ever 2 years, I do it on my m3 that often.

Ive been using Liqui Moly for my E90s for the last few years now. Nothing but good results from my analysis reports.
Shell Rotella T6 5w-40 in my 09 e90 335d (m57)
Supposedly should be changed every 13k miles but I do 7500 to hopefully help extend the life of the timing chain.
Honestly I just use whatever BMW certified oil I can find at a good price. Used Motul this time, had Castrol before that. Bosch oil filter.
I use liqui molly and Mann filter every 6k miles on mine.
I own the exact car, when I bought it, it came with a bad replacement alternator. The replacement was an eBay brand which was causing all sorts of faults. I replaced it with a Bosch unit and the car seemed fine. A few weeks after the replacement, I started getting a random limp mode with various under and over voltage errors. At this point I decided to buy and install a BMW branded alternator. This took care of issue.
Bremi ignition coils would crap-out
2015 BMWi3 owner here. I’m in the second phase of the dreaded A/C compressor failure repair with the BIG ticket cost of $6500.
Less than a year ago I paid over $4000. to replace the compressor. So the total is now right around $10500 to run the A/C system to keep this car’s battery cool enough to not set the car on fire! And I was told this by the service department when I asked how necessary the repairs are. He said the battery will overheat and be a fire hazard! This is catastrophic for an EV so I took further action to report this.
I reported this to the BMW North America Concierge supervisor and he stated “it was normal wear and tear” for an 8 year old car with 80K miles?! I reported this was a major safety problem and should be researched for a possible recall. He did not agree! Wow!
I then took out an official report with National Highway Safety Admin (who govern recalls).
The file is under review as of today.
This is not just an expensive defect, it could prove deadly. I’m researching as much as I can about this.
