Reviews of spare parts for BMW
I been using Motul 8100 XClean on my BMW for 4 oil changes or 40000 km. Have changen service garage and they changed to Total Quartz 5w30. Since then engine is running much quiter
I’m running my a 120amp Bosch but my car is m42 it’s honestly overkill for my setup with aftermarket speakers, amp, and sub.
DEPO makes good headlights and they\u2019re 3-400 for the set.
I’m not sure if they make them in the correct size for the car but the oem star marked ps4s made for bmw are more aggressive and contain a rubber compound more similar to the cup 2s. Tyre reviews compared the regular ps4s to the star marked and raved about them compared to the regular tires.
The first radiator at the dealer was a genuine BMW part# 17111436060. Mine has lasted well.
Nissens is top notch, not cheap aftermarket stuff.
My stock rotors (metallic pads) lasted 9 years and a track day. My ebay drilled/slotted rotors (ceramic pads)lasted 9 years and a handful of track days; they didn't crack the chamfer was just looking iffy. My latest set is from Amazon, powerstop branded drilled/slotted rotors (ceramic pads); have survived 1 track day, 1 light hdpe day and are on year 3. If you get drilled (any brand), you need to inspect the rotors more often.
I put cheap rotors in the front. They suck and made braking unpredictable and dangerous, especially from 150kmh plus. I bought Zimmermanns a week later and the problem completely vanished.
My febi water pump broke it's impeller at 60k.
