Ran the 660’s this weekend. Like the feel and the grip on my Camaro. They did well with a heavy car.
Reviews of spare parts for Chevrolet
Ran the 660s for the 1st time today on my CAM SS 1LE. Small, tight course, but they felt great.
when my shocks wore out on the C5, I wasn't gonna pay $750 per shock for shitty, soft shocks, even if they're some form of (very early) mag ride. I bought way cheaper, way better ones far more suited to my needs than grandpa's. Funny, the cheapest shocks you can buy for a C5 are the OEM C6 Z06 shocks and they're like $280 for all four, and they're great.
Tire wise it came with Continental Extreme Contact DWS I ran last year and through winter. I now have Falken RT615K+ on but will change as the cold approaches.
If it's warm I'd recommend considering the Goodyear SuperCar 3. It is faster than the RS4 or RT615k+, better wearing than the RE71/Rival/Yok.
I put bilsteins on my 2000 Tahoe and was very impressed with the improvements.
I haven't been able to gloat anywhere, but I just nabbed a pair of PS4Ss for 149/ea. They really are incredible tires
I settled for Monroe Quick-Struts which come assemble as front struts. And also bought the Monroe Shocks. At first they felt nice with very nice handling. But I got sick of them being too bouncy. It's as if riding a boat breaking small waves.
Did I mention that I just bought a Chevy Colorado...with reflector headlight housings...lol. Literally had my first spat of extensive overnight driving this past weekend, and I could not believe how terrible the headlights were. Driving through Tennessee at night was nerve racking. Glad to see that I'm not nuts......
Generally the folks I 4x4 with tend to avoid cheap small company tires like Radar, Atturo, and Nankang because some of em have had bad luck balancing them, even after spinning it on the rim. The quality control of the small companies isn't up to par with someone like Nitto or BFG so you get what you pay for.
