I have those Pirelli’s on my Focus and they are very quiet and pretty comfortable.
Reviews of spare parts for Ford Focus
I have a focus St with Michelin pilot super sports. While the compound sucks when it hits freezing temps, I've had no issues getting around, unless it's super icy.
Going from my pilot super sports to a set of alpine pa4 snow tires on my FoRS was a pretty noticable change... Turns out sticky summer tires don't really grip on any amount of snow or black ice, and proper winter tires really really grip on snow and ice.
I installed K&N. Great replacement for the stock filter. Noticed a bit more induction whistle and the car definitely feels like it breathes better.
Had a set of the Quatrac 4's on the wife's Focus while in Germany. These did well in wet, snow, and ice. Were quiet on the Autobahn and handled very well, totally stable at speed.
Anyone here running Federal 595s? I’m using them on my Focus ST. In case you’re looking for a great low price tire, id give the 595s a try. Mine handle great in warmth and on rain it’s pretty decent if you’re not flooring it from a slow speed. We’re past snow now and in snow they handled okay as well. Overall, great tire for the price.
I've got Altimax Arctics for both the Focus and BRZ. The Fit uses all-seasons all-season and does OK. I think the X-Ice 2's I had before the Generals had the edge on actual ice but both tires are excellent in the snow.
Focus ST: Con -Using brakes to offset torque steer a bit lame. And contributes to crazy brake dust
Falken RT660 suck when temps are below 60F as even in the dry the rears won't get enough heat in them to work properly until around runs 5-6. Kumho V730 do better in cool dry weather than the RT660, but they're not a rain tire (at least not here in the Pacific NW).
They did ok on the track for a summer tire (240tw) but I think next season I'm going with something else. For the life of me I could not corner in these
