I just got my 2015 Accord V6 (J35Y1) timing belt kit replaced at 112,000 with an AISIN kit which is a rock solid OE timing belt kit. I am very happy and confident with it.
Reviews of spare parts for Honda
I have always had good luck with gates belts and they have always looked good when I replaced them too. 70-80k belts looking almost new.
Bosch ESI6 or any other DOT5.1 for better ABS performance and longevity of braking components.
The rugged-looking alloy wheels of the prototype, shod in General Grabber A/T Sport tires (275/60R18), sound like a fitting choice for the production model.
In my opinion, they are the perfect tyre for all of the UK.
I've had Goodyear EfficientGrip on my 1.8 Civic for 20k miles and 3 years. There is still about 5mm of tread on them too...
I have looked at the additive packages on all Honda compatible coolants. Many other manufacturers (Toyota, Ford, Hyundai, Mazda, Subaru) have switched to similar coolants that are slightly worse than Honda coolant. Honda has the strictest requirements for their engines that they refused to give their engines to GM for Saturn cars after GM said they will require GM coolant. Here are my rankings:
1) Honda Type 2 (OEM) Coolant Best OEM coolant Has about the same Diethylene Glycol and anti corrosion and detergent additives
Had a gt28rs on a d16z6. Made 205 on 8 psi and started spooling very early. Torque was very linear. Never got a chance to turn it up before one of the main bearings lunched itself.
I put factory glass in my wife's new CR-V. It was nothing but drama. My Honda parts friend/ manager got me the glass at an excellent price but we had to check for damage before I signed for it. Out of the box it comes and was perfect. So load it back in the box, into the CR-V and off to the glass dude.
Just scheduled to have the windshield replaced for a 4th time in 5 years. All replacements have been OEM glass. I don’t even drive the car much just tired of paying my deductible once every year or so. Today I was driving on the highway and randomly heard a small rock hit the windshield and next I noticed there was a small crack on the upper right corner. 10 minutes later it expanded to over 2 feet long. Owned a Camry for over 10 years never had to replace the windshield despite hearing several rocks and chips hitting the windshield. Do I just have bad luck with the Honda Pilot windshields or are they just more prone to breaking.
