Put a light cut on em and a set of Brembo pads and sent it. Good to go.
Reviews of spare parts for Subaru
I drive a 2018 Subaru Crosstrek, at almost 100k miles and basically no issues outside of tire maintenance. Subaru AWD is top tier as well
you can get some solid 1 piece DBA rotors for less, and they'll be phenomenal.
I got a cheapo Benson installed by my local independent windshield shop for like $280 on my ‘22 OBW, without calibration, and it’s been perfectly fine for months now.
I'm running Raybestos R300 slotted rotors and Powerstop Z23 pads on my 4/2 Brembos, from Rockauto. No complaints or squeals. Holds up really well with repeated heavy braking in the twistys too.
I’m in the UAE, where summers hit around 50°C. This Forester is my first car with auto start-stop, and I’m impressed that the battery lasted a solid 4 years. With my driving habits (lots of short runs), my previous cars’ batteries would barely survive 1–1.5 years. This one lasted more than double that.
Thats absolute BS.. I had local Subaru dealer rebuild engine on my 06 STi using new RA shortblock, turbocharger, clutch / throwout bearing, Group N engine mount, pitch stop mount, oil pump, oil pan, all vacuum / PCV hose, intake/exhaust valves, valve lifters, coolant system, spark plugs, fuel injectors, fuel rail / lines, starter motor, etc etc plus all gaskets, new timing belt and pulley all the stuff that did not need replacing immediately and still cost less than 11k including all parts and labor.
I had the Vredestein Sportrac 5 previously.
Positives:
+ Quiet and smooth ride
+ Very reliable on flooded highways
Negatives:
- Soft sides, tires looked deflated at the recommended pressure (2.2/1.9 bar - if the car is not loaded, which is most of the time). If I inflate more the drive gets extreme hard and uncomfortable.
I have not driven a lot of tires but wonder if that soft side somehow dampens accuracy?
- Surprisingly bad at braking on the dry, even at low speed in the city, they slide.
You're not the only one. The headlights in my opinion are extremely distracting and dangerous. I actually hate driving my 2025 Forester at night. I plan on getting rid of this car because of the headlight problem.
I have them on my sti. Theyre good on concrete and okay in rain. However absolutely trash on snow/ice. No grip around corners resulting in sliding not to mention having to be gentle and brake early.
